We made several stops enroute to enjoy the waterfalls and a couple parks along US 64
This was water running out of the ground onto the parking area
We passed many of these running out of the side of the mountain
We arrived in Cincinnati and found our house. This was on a main four-lane street and we had no choice but to park half on the right-of-way and half in the street.
Our entrance was through the screened porch on the right. This is a very unique house; probably built in the 1920s or earlier. There were steps up to the yard and then steps up to the porch.
Bedroom 1
Deep tub with the controls on the side wall; the middle knob controls the stopper. The shower was separate.
Bedroom 2 with a trundle so the room sleeps three.
The coffee nook with a Keureg -- limited decaf coffee but plenty of other choices
Antique kitchen (but it does have a dishwasher!) The door goes to a landing several steps down with steps up to which we believe was the original foyer and front door and the staircase to the second floor. Also, there were very steep steps down to the cellar where the washer and dryer were.
Well stocked cabinet - including a place for the flour sifter. The owner had included several different breakfast options.
Dining room with the only a/c unit in the first floor of this house, not that we needed it as it was expected to be about 40 degrees overnight.
We carried our stuff up some steep steps to get into this house. The upstairs is a separate unit. Outside in the back/side yard was a firepit and four chairs which we didn't use being totally exhausted. Although, we did teach Pat how to play Canasta after returning from having dinner at Olive Garden.
